Commemoration of the One-Year Activities of the Homa Foundation
On 5th of Hamal 1401 AH, a ceremony was held in Kabul to commemorate the one-year activities of the Homa Foundation, hosted by Mr. Nemat Qasemi, founder of the Nemat Qasemi Foundation. During this event, the leadership of the Homa Foundation, which had been held over the past year by Dr. Mohammadjan Sotuda, was officially handed over to Mr. Ustad Bonyad Omid and Ms. Aqila Aslamyar.

Distribution of stationery to school students
Hussain Ali Omid Hazaristani, a dedicated volunteer member of the Homa Foundation, despite working and living in difficult conditions as a migrant laborer in Tehran, made great efforts to collect and send educational materials. He prepared and sent three packages containing 80 notebooks, 240 colored pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and a number of children’s books to the boys’ schools of Almitoo and Shahyar Sultan Girls’ School.

Donation of a truckload of timber for the roofing of Siah Qol School
The Homa Foundation is pleased that, with the cooperation of respected teachers and the generous people of the area, it was able to collect more timber than was required for the classrooms of the boys’ school. Now that the Homa Foundation’s project at the Almitoo Boys’ School has been successfully completed, a portion of the remaining timber has been donated to help address the shortage of materials for the metal roofing of SiahQol School. The Homa Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to all the people of Almitoo who generously donated timber, as well as to the respected teachers who made honest and dedicated efforts in its collection.

Holding a special seminar on Women's Health Promotion for women in Kabul
The Homa Foundation organized the **Women’s Health Promotion** program in Kabul with financial support from Mr. Nemat Qasemi, the great supporter of education. The program was held over two days (February 7–8, 2022) with the participation of 40 attendees, most of whom were housewives.

Establishment of the Homa Foundation Relief Fund to support those in need
In the autumn of 1400 AH or Sept - Oct 2021, as the economic situation of the people had deteriorated significantly due to political changes, the Homa Foundation established the “Homa Foundation Relief Fund.” This fund received donations from benefactors around the world and, through a defined mechanism, identified vulnerable and low-income families in Almitoo, Jaghori, and Kabul, and distributed assistance to them. Due to the trust built in the Homa Foundation, the fund was warmly received by donors. In the same year, it collected over 1.5 million Afghanis and distributed it among 230 low-income families. In order to preserve the dignity and privacy of the recipient families, no photographs were taken during the distribution process. Reports were shared only with donors to ensure transparency and accountability.

Preparing and sending administrative and educational materials to Almitoo School
In 1400 (Solar Hijri), the Homa Foundation, in collaboration with the staff of the **Unimars** (Consulting and Technology Company) Mr. Mahdi Akbari, Mr. Abdullah Jaghori, Mr. Sarwar Monis, and Mr. Didar Rahim, collected and sent a substantial amount of educational and office equipment in support of education and the foundation’s programs. These items, originally from their workplace, were prepared and delivered for the benefit of Almitoo’s schools. The Homa Foundation extends its special thanks to Mr. Abdullah Jaghori for coordinating this generous contribution.

Distribution of aid to those injured in the attack on Sayed al-Shuhada Girls’ School
In the month of May 2021, a bombing in the area of Sayed al-Shuhada School in Dasht-e Barchi, western Kabul, left around 150 schoolgirls injured and approximately 85 to 100 killed. Some of the families of the injured students were unable to afford their children’s medical treatment. In response, the Homa Foundation stepped in and identified 20 vulnerable families among the victims. Each family received 8,000 Afghanis - funds provided by the **Baba Mazari Foundation** to help cover the cost of treatment for their children.

Metal roofing of the remaining sections of Shahyar Sultan Girls’ High School’s roof
In 1400 AH, the Homa Foundation successfully collected donated timber and cash contributions, not all of which were used in the classroom construction project. As a result, the remaining wood and funds were allocated to installing metal roofing for Shahyar Sultan Girls’ School in Almitoo. This step helped protect the school from potential damage caused by snow and rain, which could have affected both the roof and walls. Given that the school is located away from the village and faces greater risks during winter and rainy seasons, this was a timely and practical work.

Construction of six additional classrooms for Almitoo’s Boys' School
In the spring of 1400 AH, the Homa Foundation decided to address the shortage of classrooms by constructing six additional rooms for the Almitoo Boys’ School. To move forward, the foundation completed the necessary legal procedures with both government and community institutions and then issued a public call for support. This call was met with a strong community support. In the first step, a donor named Dr. Esmatullah Rasouli took on the cost of building two classrooms, while other donors contributed cash donations for the construction of the remaining four rooms across two floors. The Homa Foundation carried out the project with full care and transparency and, upon completion, handed it over to the Almitoo education authorities

Collecting wood and public donations to build classrooms
In 1400 (Solar Hijri) the Homa Foundation wrote a letter to the people of the region to advance the school building project and invited them to contribute trees (wood) and cash to support education and the construction of school buildings. Fortunately, this appeal was warmly welcomed and appreciated by the people. The people of Almitoo contributed both woods and cash for the roofing and metal covering of the rooms. This was a clear sign of their trust in the Homa Foundation and their willingness to take part in building a shared home.
Collecting cash donations to support education
In 1400 AH, the Homa Foundation's financial committee began collecting cash donations to build six additional rooms for the Almitoo Boys' School, which was facing a severe shortage of classrooms. Fortunately, it was met with a commendable reception from benefactors and education lovers. During this campaign to collect cash and non-cash gifts during the same year, 76 people responded positively, and more than one million Afghanis were collected.

Book and Pen Festival
General content of the program The Book and Pen Cultural Festival was held on the 3/27/2021 with the efforts of the Homa Foundation Cultural Group in the Behesht Zindagi Hall in western Kabul. The festival was held with the warm presence of people, including women, men, and children, and in a cultural and sincere atmosphere. Part of the content of this festival consisted of lectures related to the goals and programs of the Homa Foundation, as well as solutions for improving the general situation of the people of Almitoo and how to create cooperation and strengthen the spirit of cooperation within the framework of popular institutions.

Collecting books for the Almitoo School library
In 2021, the Homa Foundation established a committee to collect donated books to enrich the library of the Almitoo’s Boys’ School and send them to the teachers and students of the school. The committee, which was responsible for this, visited the Irfan Publishing House and the University Publications House in Kabul and collected 103 books, including 83 donated by Irfan Publications House and 20 donated by the
Establishment of the Homa Foundation
The Almitoo People Solidarity Foundation, abbreviated as the Homa Foundation, is a voluntary organization that was established in the month of march 2021 to strengthen solidarity and meaningful connections between all Almitoo people inside and outside the country. This foundation, regardless of political, religious, gender, and ethnic orientations, works to coordinate public benefit collective work and other cultural and educational affairs in Almitoo and Kabul. All Almitoo people, regardless of their level of literacy, can be voluntary members of this organization.
