Holding a special seminar on Women's Health Promotion for women in Kabul

The Homa Foundation organized the Women’s Health Promotion program in Kabul with financial support from Mr. Nemat Qasemi, the great supporter of education. The program was held over two days (February 7–8, 2022) with the participation of 40 attendees, most of whom were housewives.

In this program, Ms. Zakera Faramarz and Ms. Farzana Sotuda, graduates of health sciences and members of the Homa Foundation, delivered presentations according to the planned agenda.

They discussed various aspects of women’s health issues that are often considered taboo or sensitive in traditional societies, using relevant videos and visual materials to support their talks. At the end of each session, participants’ health-related questions were also answered. The women expressed great satisfaction with the program and found it beneficial for improving both their physical and mental well-being. They also emphasized the importance of continuing such programs in the future for other interested women.

At the closing ceremony, Ms. Aqila Aslamyar, Head of the Cultural Department of the Homa Foundation, thanked the organizers and participants. She also provided information about the establishment of the Homa Foundation and the domestic and international support it has received. In addition, she spoke about the foundation’s humanitarian and relief activities over the past year and introduced a plan to support women’s handicrafts in Almitoo, which was warmly welcomed by the participants.The program concluded with the distribution of small gifts for the women and a simple reception (tea and cake).
